Privacy Policy

Who We Are

This website is Fighter 71, located at fighter71.com. Questions about this policy can be directed to us via the contact page.

Data We Collect and Why

We collect data in a few specific situations — when you leave a comment, when you upload media, and when you log in (if you have an account). Here’s what that looks like in each case.

Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the information in the comment form along with your IP address and browser user agent string. This helps us detect spam. If you use a Gravatar-linked email address, an anonymized hash of that address may be sent to Gravatar to retrieve your profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes publicly visible alongside it.

Media uploads. If you upload images to the site, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Any location data embedded in uploaded images can be downloaded and extracted by visitors.

Account holders. If you register an account, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can view, edit, or delete that information at any time — with the exception of your username. Site administrators can also access and edit this information.

Cookies

This site uses cookies in the following situations:

Comments. If you opt in when leaving a comment, your name, email, and website are saved in cookies for one year so you don’t have to re-enter them next time.

Login page. A temporary cookie is set when you visit the login page to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It holds no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Logged-in users. Logging in sets cookies to save your login state and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; display preference cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends login persistence to two weeks. Logging out removes all login cookies.

Post editing. Editing or publishing a post saves a cookie containing the post ID. It holds no personal data and expires after one day.

Embedded Content

Some posts include embedded content from other sites — videos, images, articles, and similar. Embedded content behaves as if you visited those sites directly. They may collect data about you, use their own cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content, including if you have an account with them and are logged in.

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Two limited exceptions apply: password reset requests include your IP address in the reset email, and visitor comments may be run through an automated spam detection service.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognize and auto-approve follow-up comments rather than holding them in a moderation queue. Account profile data is retained for as long as the account exists.

Your Rights

If you have an account or have left comments on this site, you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we delete your personal data. These rights do not extend to data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
